ABOUT AL SHABAB POWER PLANT PROJECT

The project includes converting the existing simple cycle power plant to combined cycle power plant.
The plant will consist of two power block modules. Each module 4x4x1 consists of existing four 125 MW (nominal ISO) outdoor combustion turbine generators (CTGs), GE Frame 9E, installed and commissioned during year 2011. Each CTG feeding exhaust gases to its respective heat recovery steam generator (HRSG), two pressure level and non-reheat. Steam from the four HRSGs will be fed to one 250 MW (nominal), condensing steam turbine generator (STG), equipped with air-cooled condenser (ACC). The estimated facility net output will be approximately 1500 MW (nominal, ISO)
